Landlines
All Hong Kong properties have their own telephone lines; they require a contract and installation fee, with an appointment for the line to be set up.
Setting up a landline you will need to provide:
- A copy of your Hong Kong Identity card or a copy of your passport.
- A Hong Kong contact number.
- An address of the residence.
- Payment by credit card.
Long distance calls are inexpensive using the International Direct Dialing (IDD). There are a number of service providers offering the IDD service. We recommend
you take the time to find the provider that suits you best. The Hong Kong international dialing code is: +852
